Hello again to another command update from the Shadow Army division. Several changes will be made to the Shadow Army over the course of this week.
1) First, we are cutting some fat. If you don't play an active Army game you are retired, simple as that. This week the required stats submissions will be logged. Most of you have submitted stats relatively quickly, a few of you have not. You have a few days to do that or you can contact your superiors if there is a technical glitch.
2) Second, Vanquish company will be closed and done away with. There are several reasos for this. a) Its the most inactive of the three companies and it doesn't have as many members as the others. b) Its squads all don't play BF2142 or plan on playing RF3. c) I don't like its former commander so the company is tarnished in my book. All of these are enough to warrant its closure. I know some of you are PO'd at me for it but thats my decision and its happening. Active members from these squads will be moved to other squads. Death Knights will stay intact and I'll be moving you to one of the other platoons. More details later this week after stats are tallied up. Colonel Jolinar will be given a new position for her qualifications. She's done a great job leading the company even if the company needs to close.
3) General Peacemaker will be handling our Red Faction 3 efforts. This may or may not result in new squads, modified squads or changed structure to fit the new game.We are going to see how this plays out and how much interest there is with the new game (and if the game sucks we won't put too much effort into it).
4) Web site updates. We want blogs and a few other gadgets on our site as well as some stuff for RF3. Admiral Havoc from the BSF has informed me this will be possible after our server move. The server move is happening this week, possibly as early as Thursday. Our FES and Army site will be down for 24 hours.
5) New Video Inbound! We're working on a new Army video with voice overs, a little humor and lots of fragging. More on this in the coming days.
6) There are several promotions and awardings happening at the next meeting. Look forward to seeing a lot of you there.
