The New Sith Order »
Category: Sith Order Leaks
Posted July 09, 2010 by Kieran

Ladies and Gentlemen, it is my pleasure to announce the birth of the New Sith Order. As many of you know the roots of the Force Elite Soldiers extend back over a decade to the days of Jedi Knight and the TIE Fighter/X-Wing Series. What many have forgotten is that in the beginning the FES was fairly fiction-oriented as well. With the re-opening of the Sith Division, we will be continuing a rich tradition of fiction writing that began with the Dark Jedi Order and the Sith Order. The work of some of our oldest members including Kaardoon, DarkSaber, Rage, Ren-yn, and Matok will be built upon and expanded.

There are two subgroups. The Brotherhood of Darkness is focused mostly on fiction writing. The Krath Priesthood is focused mostly on wiki editing and updating. While each has their focus, Brotherhood members will undoubtedly be updating the wiki here and there and Krath members will be writing stories to enrich wiki entries regarding people, places, ships, and more. Read on for a more in-depth look at what each will work towards!

The Brotherhood of Darkness
The first subgroup is the Brotherhood of Darkness, which will be focused mainly on writing stories about events and people in FES history. Warriors in the Brotherhood will work the FES into areas of Star Wars canon without compromising the existing Star Wars storyline. This may seem to limit the number of options that one might write about, but as you will read below, there is actually quite a bit to choose from. Furthermore, the writing that the Brotherhood does will enrich the FES experience as a whole and keep our Star Wars roots firmly in place.
The Brotherhood are the Force-sensitive warriors of the New Sith Order. The names of the two Sects comprising this subgroup follows this theme; they are named after two great warriors of the Dark Jedi Order, Daemon and Shadow.

Here are a couple of examples of what a Warrior in the Brotherhood of Darkness might write about:

1) The "Schism" is the predecessor of the New Galactic Empire (the fictional organization that the FES is focused around). A warrior might choose to write about how the original members of this secret group broke away from the Sith after their exile by the Jedi in 6,900 BBY. The piece would essentially be a short novel, most likely revolving around one character, but introducing the other major characters of this period.
2) Using the above example, a warrior may choose to instead write an introduction to this period in FES history. After he has completed this project, another person may pick up where he left off, adding the body and conclusion of the story. Or two, three, or more members may choose to write the story in run-on form, and clean it up at the end.
3) A warrior may choose to, instead of writing about an event, write about a person. There are important characters in every period of the FES's history, and a short biography greatly adds to the realism behind the stories. Or the member may choose to look into the background of one of FES's members, such as Kaardoon, and write his biography.

These are just a few examples of the many things that members of the Brotherhood of Darkness may choose to write about. The Brotherhood is meant for Inquiries can be sent to Lord Marauder Kieran at anotherblackhole@gmail.com.

The Krath Priesthood
The Krath Priesthood is focused mainly on updating the FES's wiki (he wiki is still under construction, but it is mostly back-end work, and make sure to thank Havoc for all the great work he has done on it and the site!), which you can see here: FES Wiki. As previously mentioned, the lines between the Brotherhood and Krath aren't set in stone. They will fill in the wiki with information from stories written by the Brotherhood as well as adding historical events, ships, planets, and more where it can help story creation and enrich the FES experience.
In fictional terms, the Krath are the Priests of the New Sith Order. They are more concerned with shooting Force Lightning at you then severing body parts with their lightsabers. The two Krath Priesthood Sects are named for two of the great FES writers, Kaardoon and Severance.

Here are a few examples of what a Priest in the Krath Priesthood might write about:

1) A member of the Brotherhood has just written a story, but since that member is more focused on slaying the next dragon, so to speak, he hasn't updated the wiki. The Krath Priest, intent upon cleaning up this mess, goes through the story and adds the additional info for all the characters, locations, and technology that have been introduced.
2) The great Emperor Kaardoon has a wiki page, but it is not complete. A Krath member is disappointed in the lack of respect given to this leader. He goes through old stories written by Kaardoon and creates a mini-biography of the Emperor.
3) A Priest who is also a member of the Black Sword Fleet dislikes the lack of backstory involving the Naval fleets. He goes through and adds a short history to each of the major fleets that are used in FES stories, including flag officers, major battles they have been involved in, and the names and types of each ship in the fleet.
4) A Krath member who is also a member of the Shadow Army is annoyed that the FES Fleets have gotten so much attention and decides to write a full history of every one of the 10,000,000 soldiers in the New Galactic Empire. And then said member makes the other team cry. I think we all know who is being referred to here.

Once again, just a few examples of what a Krath Priest might choose to write about. Inquiries can be sent to Lord Marauder Kieran at anotherblackhole@gmail.com.

Conclusion
If you are at all interested in writing, the New Sith Order is the place for you. While the amount of writing involved may seem overwhelming, we encourage our members to work at a pace that suits them. A Krath might write just one character history every 3 months. Or a member of the Brotherhood might spend 6 months writing an introduction to a huge event in FES history. Of course, if you want to update the wiki 20 times in a month, do a run-on with posts every few days, or write an event history in two weeks, that would be favorably looked upon. Recruitment is currently open to FES members and referrals. If you know of anyone that would be interested in this type of project, let Kieran know and he will contact them. We hope that you all look forward to what the New Sith Order rolls out in the future as much as we do!
