Ok welcome everyone to another meeting

another problem, and should be fixed now
[Rage] It will still be slow until
Tuesday when about a thousand dollars of equipment is installed
[Rage] Yesterday it was hit with
the menacing "SQL slammer" worm so you may have noticed the downtime,
if you havent done so already :P
[Rage] Ok well Holonet posts, we
can recover them
[Rage] Tell me what posts you want
back and ill hunt for them and repost them.
[Rage] Also.... Holonet 5 is delayed
abit
[Rage] because of the downtime yesterday
[Rage] Wasn't able to install or
modify anything because I didn't have access to it, simple enough
[Rage] So the new message board
should be up and running this week sometime.

[Jynx] Death to the Servers by the
SQL Slammer worm... it just happened tonight, and both of our servers,
[Jynx] along with 30% of the internet
was affected. Ive sent supports tickets to both companies,
[Jynx] and I'll keep watch for when
they come back online.
[Jynx] FES Skin pack creation has
been slowed, due to the loss of the post on holonet...
[Jynx] I can remember some of the
peoples requests, but not all of them.
[Jynx] If theres any way to post
that ENTIRE 4-page topic back up, or just send me the text from the DB, that'd
be good.
[Jynx] Admin access Hell: Ive received
so many complaints about so many different admins,
[Jynx] and gotten so many conflicting
stories about whos right and whos wrong, and who actually has done what,
[Jynx] that I'm revising admin access
starting tonight. Im not sure what course of action to take just yet...
[Jynx] ... but know that there
will be a LOT fewer admins running around the servers,
[Jynx] heads held high with pride
on being an "all-powerful, better than you" admin.
[Jynx] Frankly, Im tired of the
attitudes Im seeing in a LOT of the DJ, and Im not one to just sit back and let
things slide.
[Jynx] Revisions, demotions, and
lectures will be handed out in multitudes soon... so be prepared.
[Jynx] There is no reckoning for
actions that have already been done, so enough of the kissing up.
[Jynx] EOD intro is being revised,
as well as the EOD site. That'll be up soon.

Well I got a chance to take
a sneak peak on Holonet 5 and got some suggestions in

We will have about 9 boards
in the navy

on leave for a few months

is a chemical engineer and will be working in the middle east if a possible war
is launched there.

action going for the last 2 weeks to fill in for MD's events he was working on

[Jynx] I was thinking of creating a DJ "handbook" of my own... on Saber
Fighting, FFA and Duel Style...
[Jynx] and for Admining. Ill need to get ahold of the current admins (well, those
that I think are FIT admins currecntly),
[Jynx] as well as some of the better duels and FFAers in the DJ.

[Kaardoon] As some of you have known,
I've been tossing around ideas for an IRC Roleplaying Chat
[Kaardoon] As I have come to notice,
many of the SW RP chats that are in use throughout IRC nowadays use many bots
and scripts to keep track of things such as use of Force Powers, the loss and
regeneration of health and other such things...
[Kaardoon] As I am unable to create
such bots and scripts, the use of power and the depletion of health in our chat
will at first have to be monitored by a non-combatant, and this would make things
a bit taxing at first.
[Kaardoon] But...
[Kaardoon] The rules of our chat
are coming along nicely, and I am having to create all different types of technology
and powers to use, this being set 200 years after the Fall of the Empire and all.
This is what is taking up most of my creation time and delaying the process.
[Kaardoon] I hope to have the Rules
and Information sent to Rage by the end of next week, however... possibly the
week after.
